1912 S81 Silks #108 Christy Mathewson. This is an incredibly rare Christy Mathewson large silk from the 1912 S81 set. Before Ruth or Gehrig, Christy Mathewson helped develop the foundations of baseball as one of its earliest stars. Mathewson rose from humble beginnings to have one of the greatest pitching careers of all time as well as becoming a war hero in World War I. A must have for any vintage baseball collector.
