George Harrison Owned & Worn Stage Jacket.

Provenance: Obtained by a personal friend of George Harrison.

The suit was examined by G.S. Millings, and determined that this in fact was George Harrison’s jacket, made for stage use, based on the quality of stitching, signature keyhole buttonholes, velvet collar, velvet cut out detail on the cuff and bright salmon color lining.

Extremely similar to the English Chesterfield suit jackets (distinguished by having a velvet upper collar). The Beatles made these types of suits famous and wore 16 different tailored variations of the Chesterfield Suits.

The jacket is believed to be a stage jacket by the two front pockets are not just ornamental, that are actual pockets that have been sewn shut, which was common practice to enhance stage presentation.

Good condition.

Authentication: Copies of Letter of Provenance from G.S. Millings and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
