1995 Michael Jordan Game-Used and Double-Signed Nike Air Jordan X Sneakers - Worn Post-NBA Comeback (JSA).
Michael Jordan wore this pair of Air Jordan X sneakers during the tail end of the 1994-95 NBA season when he triumphantly returned to the NBA after his year-and-a-half hiatus and foray into baseball. Jordan played 17 games in 1995, averaging 26.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game to dispel the notion that his time away from the game eroded any of his spectacular talent. Jordan returned to the Bulls on March 19, 1995, when they had a record of 34-31. By the end of the season, Jordan's play had the Bulls at 47-35. They advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, where the Bulls fell in six games to Shaquille O'Neal and the energetic Orlando Magic.
With his No. 23 jersey hanging from the rafters upon his return to the court, Jordan decided to don the No. 45 in his comeback campaign. In addition, Jordan wore the Air Jordan X sneakers for most of the games he played in 1995. However, as short-lived as the No. 45 jersey was, so too were these sneakers, as this style was only worn for a short period of time after Jordan retired from baseball and returned to the NBA.
These size 13 Air Jordan X shoes are in the “Chicago" colorway. The body of the shoe is white, with a black midsole, a black tongue and lace area, and a red interior. A Jumpman logo is embroidered in black on the heel of both shoes. The soles of the shoes are black and red, with Jordan's myriad career accomplishments etched on the red portions of the sole. A white Jumpman logo is applied to the heel area of the sole. Jordan has signed the outside heels of both shoes in black marker.
