A very personal, heartfelt letter handwritten and signed by Alan Freed to his friend "Morris" asking for a loan and he and his family have "fallen upon desperate times." Written from his home in Palm Springs, California on December 2nd, 1964, Freed talks about being completely broke and "being backed up to a stone wall." He talks about going back on the air in February in Long Island, and Inga having a job at NBC in January, but that their present circumstances are dire, for food and clothing. Freed signs it "As Ever, Alan" and writes "P.S. - Please keep this letter confidential, thanks." Written in blue ballpoint pen on 8.5 x 11 stationery. With wear from age, the writing and signature is clear and legible. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
