Apollo 11 Triple-Signed 8 x 10 Photo (Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin).

During the summer of 1969, NASA made history by launching the U.S. Apollo 11 spacecraft, which turned out to be the very first American spaceflight that landed humans on the Moon. Three talented astronauts made it happen. Commander Neil Armstrong and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin landed the Apollo Lunar Module Eagle on July 20, 1969. Michael Collins was an astronaut who flew the Apollo 11 command module Columbia around the Moon in 1969 while his crewmates, Armstrong and Aldrin, made the first crewed landing on the surface. This lot features a triple-signed photograph featuring all of them.

The 8” x 10” black-and-white photograph shows the three astronauts posing in their official spacesuits (minus helmets) in front of a large image of the Moon. Collins is standing in the middle flanked by Armstrong on the left and Aldrin, both of whom are sitting on stools. All three have signed the photograph in black with a fine-point marker. Armstrong’s signature is slightly smudged but legible, while Collins and Aldrin’s autographs are strong although some beading up of the applied ink has developed over time.

Authentication: A Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
