This rare five foot high Beatles "Abbey Road" in-store floor display is one of only a half-dozen known to have survived. Created by Capitol Records to promote the Beatles 1969 album, these displays were distributed to select record outlets. Comprised of there parts, the display is in overall very good condition, with horizontal creasing to each figure , some additional small creased to the background, and expected light overall age wear. This is the most impressive and imposing of the various Abbey road promotional items, this cardboard record store floor display help up to two dozen copies of the Abbey Road album. An oversized 22 x 22 die-cut album is affixed to a card pole from behind that fits into the back of the record bin. Exceedingly rare, no more than a half-dozen of these displays are known to have survived the 42 years since its original release on October 1, 1969. The oversized and multi-part displays from this era were fragile and store owners usually discarded them because of their size. The ones that have survived were mainly salvaged by fans and thus finding them today both intact and in working condition is quite uncommon. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
