This original color photograph of The Beatles was taken backstage at the Cavern Club and was published in Newsweek magazine. The photographer, Shahrokh Hatami has both signed and numbered the limited edition photograph. Hatami has covered a broad range of high profile subjects as a photographer for nearly half a century,from celebrities, film and fashion, to politics, war and social change. Besides working in these areas, Hatami is highly regarded for his early and extremely rare color photos of the Beatles at the legendary Cavern Club. In 1963 Paris Match magazine assigned him to cover the Beatlemania phenomenon in Liverpool England. Hatami managed to gain access backstage to capture amazing images of the Fab Four, with three of the most significant guitars in Rock & Roll history. John Lennon with his black six string Rickenbacker, Paul McCartney with his legendary Hofner bass and George Harrison with his Gretsch Country Gentleman. Very good condition.
