Paul McCartney incredible handwritten letter with remarkable content that he has signed "Thanks, Paul and the mop tops!" adding a drawing of an apple with an "a" in the middle and writing below it "a is for apple,"
Paul has written an encouraging letter to "Drew and Dy", two unknown artists, telling them that "Your songs grow on all that hear them!" and suggesting they should get together "soon probably to do something - like record." Paul shows his humorous side, with a bit of edge, with reference to the Beatles early incarnation as the "mop tops," as they were deep in the midst of recording the "White Album" - a far cry from their early days.
This is a truly historic letter, with Paul referring to the Beatles as the "mop tops" and also clearly demonstrating his excitement for their newly formed record company and its aim to be a place for unknown artists to find a home. The two songs by Drew & Dy were produced by Paul, but were never released.
Paul has handwritten, and signed, this letter in oversized writing in black felt tip marker.
