Record Mirror was first published in 1954. Two years later it carried the first UK album chart. It was also the first UK music paper to feature colour front covers setting it apart from its competitors on the news stand. Record Mirror contained weekly charts, record reviews, interviews with and articles about all of the most popular and up and coming groups and artists of the day, black and white and coloured photographs. This is a complete 6 year run of Record Mirror for the years 1964-1969 inclusive. In total there are 313 issues.

Record Mirror normally contained around 12 pages. It measured 29cm x 40.5cm (11.5 inches x 16 inches). There is an address written on the white border of the cover of the paper on approximately 15 of the issues. Around a dozen or so of the issues have been folded but the remainder are laid flat and show no creasing to the cover. The condition of the papers is as follows: 6 of the issues are good, half a dozen are very good minus, half a dozen are very good and the remainder are excellent.
