Carl Perkins Played & Signed Squire Telecaster Guitar.

Carl Perkins has signed and inscribed this Squire Telecaster Guitar in a black sharpie. The consignor was good friends with Carl Perkins and was able to get this guitar signed by him through his relationship with Carl. Carl liked the guitar so much he even played it.

Per the consignor: “Carl was one of the founders of rock. He wrote and recorded “Blue Suede Shoes, and wrote songs recorded by other artists including The Beatles and Johnny Cash, and toured with Johnny for years. He was a wonderful man. I had the great pleasure of helping him get one of his record deals. Carl was thrilled to be able to sign a guitar for me. He really liked the guitar, he tuned it and played a couple of songs on it. He was a very humble man.”

Provenance: From the collection of a former Music Executive. Lots 76 to 100 and Lots 499 to 803 in this auction are consigned by one vendor, who worked with and met various artists from 1985-1992. All the items were personally obtained by the vendor. This is the best in-person collection we have ever handled as an auction company.

Good condition.

Authentication: Roger Epperson (REAL) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
