Singer, actress, entrepreneur Cher has built herself into a worldwide phenomenon. But in 1980, Cher had to take out a car loan just like everybody else!

Presented here is a two-sided legal promissory note Cher signed when agreed to pay back an $8,000 loan from City National Bank in Los Angeles on July 10, 1980, to be used for the purchase of a brand new 1980 CJ 7 Jeep. The interest rate she secured was a whopping 16.25%. The money was to be paid back in monthly installments of $284.99 over 36 months.

Cher signed the bottom of page 2 with a black ink pen. You’ll be happy to know that she paid off the loan less than three years later on Jan. 19, 1983.

Authentication: Roger Epperson Authentication Ltd. (REAL) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
