Featured here is the original, one-of-a-kind 1983 “Serious Moonlight” Tour stage model that was exclusively designed for David Bowie.

New York based stage designer Mark Ravitz was tasked in 1974 with creating David Bowie’s “Diamond Dogs” US Tour Set. Nine Years Later – and enjoying the commercial success of various album sales – Bowie was able to allocate more money for a full stage design and returned to render the services of Ravitz again; this time to produce the 1983 “Serious Moonlight” tour stage.

The details of this stage model is breathtaking and shows all aspects of what made this stage so memorable; the light and pillars, the attention to detail, the crystals and various stage propers. The model dimensions are 22 inches wide, 14 inches high and 12 inches deep.

The model has been preserved exceptionally well and is in pristine condition. It is however an exceptionally delicate item to ship and will require the services of a professional art carrier. A local pick-up is recommended.

This model comes directly from the private collection of Mark Ravitz, artist and designer who is best known for creating historic stages for KISS, David Bowie, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, Tommy (The Who) and Backstreet Boys. A Certificate of Authenticity – signed by Mark Ravitz – will be included with this lot.

Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
