This is Elvis Presley's worn "TCB" necklace that he designed with jeweler Lee Ableser based on the "TCB" logo that he had created with Priscilla Presley. The gold TCB pendant and chain is 14k gold, the pendant's length is 44mm, chain width is 2.4mm and chain length is 38cm. The total weight is 13.6g. On October 19, 1970 Elvis went to Lee Ableser Jewelers in Los Angeles and order 13 TCB necklaces based on a design that Elvis and Lee Ableser came up with, which was based on the now famous "TCB" logo that Elvis and Priscilla Presley has designed together. As is well known the TCB with a lightning bolt means "Taking Care of Business in a Flash" - a motto by which Elvis and his father Vernon wanted all around Elvis to follow. Two days later after his visit to Lee Ableser Elvis went to see his optometrist Dennis Robert in Hollywood at his Optique Boutique. When Dennis admired the necklace Elvis took it off and place it around Dennis' neck. Dennis then asked Elvis if he could incorporate the TCB logo and Elvis' initials on the design of the eyeglasses he was making for Elvis and Elvis said yes. This was the start of the "EP" "TCB" eyeglasses that became a part of the Elvis Presley image and further became the worldwide signature of Elvis Presley. This lot is accompanied by two letters of authentiicty from Elvis "Memphis Mafia" members Charlie Hodge and Sonny West who were with Elvis on that day that he visited the Optique Boutique. Also comes with letter from his optometrist Dennis Roberts and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
