Elvis Presley Early 1970's Owned & Worn American Southwest Sterling Silver Turquoise Leather Belt.
Originally from the collection of Sonny West, this American Southwest intricately hand tooled black leather belt featuring a sterling silver and turquoise buckle was owned and worn by Elvis Presley in the early 1970's - a period when Elvis wore a lot of this type of jewelry and accessories. He had various bracelets, rings, belts and even several choker necklaces similar in this style as it was very much in style at that time. Elvis is pictured here wearing a very similar belt.
Provenance: Provenance: Elvis gifted this belt to Sonny West, (Delbert Bryant West Jr., known professionally as Sonny West), who was a friend and bodyguard to Elvis along with his cousin Red West for sixteen years, as part of the "Memphis Mafia" Elvis entourage.
Condition: Very good.
Dimensions: Full length of belt is 40.5 in, including buckle. This magnificent sterling silver buckle with chunk of beautiful turquoise measures approximately 3.5 in x 2.75 in.
Authentication: Letter from Sonny West on his personal TCB stationery, a photo of Elvis wearing a similar belt, and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
