The item was signed to “Maybelle" who was a big fan of Elvis. She personally got this item signed on 9/26/1956. Was previously displayed in a Rock & Roll Museum.
1956 was a pivotal year for Elvis Presley. He had just made his breakthrough with hits like “Heartbreak Hotel" and was establishing himself as a national sensation. During this time, Elvis was touring extensively, and the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show in Tupelo, Mississippi was particularly significant. The fair was special because Tupelo is Elvis's birthplace, and this show was seen as a kind of "homecoming"
Good condition.
Authentication: Roger Epperson (REAL) Letter of Authenticity, a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
Note: This item has been recently authenticated by JSA and a full LOA will arrive between 4-6 weeks after this auctions conclusion.
