This is Elvis Presley's personally owned circa 1967 "Penalty of Leadership," a framed handwritten calligraphy version created by his long time friend from Tupelo, Janelle McComb. An original version was given to him by an executive at Cadillac in 1956. At Elvis' request, he had Janelle recreate the words in calligraphy in December 1967. Elvis' deep feelings for the words of wisdom are discussed in the books, "Graceland" and "Good Rockin Tonight." Accompaniedby a letter of authenticity from the Vernon Presley Estate, correspondence from Janelle McComb regarding the framed calligraphy as well as a copy of an article from Good Housekeeping with Vernon Presley in which he mentions how much Elvis loved the framed words of inspiration. Measures 40cm x 52.5cm. Very good condition. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
