Elvis gifted this ring to George Klein, his close and personal friend since they both attended Humes High School in Memphis. According to George, Elvis wore the ring both on and off stage. One day when Elvis was trying on some new rings he was purchasing, he took this ring off his finger, and asked George to hold it for him. When he had finished with his purchases, George handed this ring back to him and Elvis said "GK you keep that one."
