Irwin obtained these Elvis Presley owned and worn boots from the Colonel in the late 1970's, after Elvis had passed away. Elvis had worn the boots in the early 1970's. The Colonel gifted Irwin some articles that belonged to Elvis after Irwin told him that he was a collector. The boots have been in the possession of the Pates up to the time of this auction. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and these boots come with a letter of provenance from his wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead.
