Elvis Presley has signed and inscribed the iconic cover for his 1956 album "Elvis Presley" in blue ballpoint pen, "To Mike Elvis Presley." As described in the book “The Greatest Album Covers of All Time” Colonel Parker hired the firm of Robertson & Fresh to create the cover for this 1956 debut album for Elvis. William “Red” Robertson took the photograph of Elvis, performing in August 1955 at the Tampa, Florida Armory. RCA’s designer’s did the cropping, seemingly to advance the illusion of Elvis' gyrations on stage — and added the pink and green letters (something not seen before). Today it is one of the most iconic rock and roll covers of all time. Overall good condition, the signature and inscription is strong and clear. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
