This is Elvis Presley's stage worn diamond and gold nugget ring that he gifted to a fan in the audience at a concert in Asheville, North Carolina in 1975. This 14lt gold and 8.05ct diamond ring is set with 16 round brilliant cut diamonds and three emerald cut diamonds. Fourteen of the round diamonds measure between 4.2-4.2mm in diameter and weigh approximately 0.38ct each, color F-H, clarity l-1 - Sl-1. Two large diamonds, 1.29ct and 1.39ct, color H. The three emerald cut diamonds have clarity VS-2, color H, approximately .35ct each. The total weight of the diamonds is approximately 8.05ct. The total weight of the ring is approximately 27gms. The back story on this ring is that at this 1975 concert in North Carolina Elvis threw his black Gibson guitar into the audience and two men in the front row grabbed for the guitar and wrestled for it briefly. One man ended up with the guitar, and Elvis called the other man over to the front of the stage where he met him, took this ring off his finger and gave it to him. Elvis walked back across the stage saying into the microphone, "Ah, what's $16,000." The man's name was Lloyd Perry. Very good condition. This ring is accompanied by a letter of provenance from Lloyd Perry, newspaper articles featuring the story about the generous gift and photographs of Mr. Perry with JD Sumner and Bill Baize after the performance, showing off the ring.
