George Harrison Owned & Worn Black, Green and Purple Velvet Nepalese Design Vest.

Beatles lead guitarist, singer-songwriter, who went on to have a tremendously successful solo career owned and wore this black vest with a green and purple Nepal design on the front. The design of the vest reflects strongly on George's spiritual influences that started when he was with the Beatles. The vest bears a label that says "SONY" on one side and 100% Velvet Made In Nepal on the back. The front is fully velvet, the back appears to be cotton or a cotton blend.

This beautiful vest comes from the collection of renowned booking agent and promotional agent Irwin Pate, During his very long career, Irwin and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. When traveling on concert tours Irwin often would obtain many of these articles from both tour crew members and venue staff, and some items he obtained directly from the celebrity. Among the vast number of entertainers that he came in contact with, worked with and knew, was George Harrison, who he worked with on several occasions. During one of their meetings, Irwin told George about his and his wife's collection, and George arranged for Irwin to be gifted some of his personal items, including this vest.

Size: The label does not indicate a size, but we estimate it as a men's medium.

Condition: Overall very good with some very light vintage wear on the back.

Authentication: Letter from Irwin's widow, Clarine Pate, on their company letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
