The Beatles played their first residency at the Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany from April 13 - May 31, 1962. This club account book gives evidence of their May 5, 1962 performance on page 47 with the notation "Brian Epstein 2,141.35" showing the amount the band was paid. Brian Epstein was the band's manager who catapulted them into being the biggest band in rock history. This club account book bears a blue cover with the dates "25.4.62 - 5.5.62" (April 25, 1962 through May 5, 1962) and has 50 pages of various payment entries. Measures approximately 11.5 x 8.25.
