Jewish Foundation Buys Franklin D. Roosevelt’s home in Manhattan for Hunter College Signed Check by FDR!

With this check, Jewish businessman and organizer of the Anti-Defamation League Aaron C. Horn purchased the Roosevelt double townhouse on East 65th Street for Hunter College from President Franklin D. Roosevelt for $50,000! The house went on to serve as a headquarters for various student religious and cultural groups and later the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute.
