Jimi Hendrix Owned & Used Bohemian Water Pipe.
Presented here is Jimi Hendrix's personally owned and used water pipe. The pipe comes from the collection of renowned booking agent and promotional agent Irwin Pate, During his very long career, Irwin and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. When traveling on concert tours Irwin often would obtain many of these articles from both tour crew members and venue staff, and some items he obtained directly from the celebrity. This bohemian style water pipe was given to a venue employee by Jimi Hendrik after a show. Years later, Irwin was able to purchase the pipe from the employee.
Dimensions: From the bottom to the bowl it measures 4.5 inches. The bottom, from which the bowl and the pipe are atop, has a floral design that appears almost Moroccan, and the base measures approximately 2 inches in diameter. The thin pipe itself measures approximately 4.5 inches in length. Comprised of metal, the base could be bronze, or is bronze colored metal.
Condition: Overall good, vintage and well-used.
Authentication: Letter from Irwin Pate's widow, Clarine Pate, on their company letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
