John Lennon 1980 Handwritten Grocery and To-Do List with References to His Cats, Yoko, Julian and Sean.

John Lennon has handwritten this grocery and to-do list for his personal assistant. An incredible, intimate look into John, Yoko and Sean's personal day-to-day life during the last year of John's life - including special directions for the food to be purchased for his cats! In this list he refers to both of his sons Julian (asking his assistant to find a check with clouds so he can write a belated "rain check" to Julian for his birthday), and requesting small pears for Sean. He also reminds his assistant to ask Yoko what happened to her framed check from famed director Sam Houston. With an overall emphasis on healthy food, John shows his concern for the healthy eating of his cats - requesting healthy cat food (with the emphasis on "canned" underlined), but "Not with liver (they don't like it)”.

Handwritten by John in black ink, it has a few annotations in blue ballpoint pen from his assistant, and the date of April 2, '80 in blue ballpoint pen, also apparently in his assistant's hand, on the verso with the name "Fred Chan" written in large letters on the verso in pencil.

Dimensions: 8.5 in x 14 in.

Condition: Very good, with very small stains, and few creases where it had been folded.

Authentication: Authenticated by Beatles handwriting expert Frank Caiazzo. Upon request, Gotta Have Rock and Roll will help facilitate the winning bidder in obtaining a Letter of Authenticity from Mr. Caiazzo. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
