John Lennon owned “Lennon" engraved silver lighter. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades he promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin knew John Lennon, they met several times and Irwin booked and promoted a few of the venues that Lennon played. In the early 1980's, through one of his music business connections, Irwin was able to obtain this engraved lighter that John Lennon had given to a fellow music promoter. It has been in the possession of the Pates up until this time. Very good condition. Irwin Pate passed away in May 2018, and this set comes with a letter of provenance from Irwin's wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
