John Lennon owned and wore this blue and brown suit jacket with leather collar made by Dougie Millings, the Beatles' personal tailor in the early 1960's. The tailor's label is stitched into the inside pocket of the jacket reading "D.A. Millings & Son '63, Old Compton Street, London, W1 Gerrard 5276." Lennon's name "John" has been written in black ballpoint pen on the label. Lennon gave this jacket to his cousin David Birch and a letter from Birch accompanies the jacket, as well as an 11" x 8" black and white photograph showing Lennon in the suit. Very good condition. Estimate: $40,000 - $50,000.
