John Lennon and George Harrison Owned and Used Bronze Ganesh Statuette.
This bronze statuette of the Indian God Ganesh holding an umbrella was owned and used by both John Lennon and George Harrison. According to the letter that comes with the statuette, John bought the statuette on his first trip to India in 1966, and later gave it to George. According to the letter, after George had the Ganesh statuette, George gave to a close friend of the Beatles Trihuvanath Das who was the first devotee to live at Friar Park in 1969 with George and Pattie Boyd. He was tasked with getting house livable for the couple, and as a thank-you, George donated the statuette to the Hare Krishna Festival of India t raise money for the event. The letter goes on to say that George was devoted to Ganesh as he is the remover of obstacles and betstows good luck upon artists and musicians.
Dimensions: Approximately 9 inches in height and 3.5 inches in diameter, for the base.
