Lauri Markkanen is a seven-foot power forward from Finland who has found a home with the Utah Jazz. After spending parts of five seasons between the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers, Markkanen landed with the Jazz in 2022 and is now a steady offensive force. Last season he led the team in scoring (25.6) and rebounds (8.6) per game. On Nov. 19, 2023, he scored a game high 38 points and 17 rebounds in a 140-137 loss to the Phoenix Suns at home. Despite the defeat, Markkanen showed he could go toe-to-toe with the likes of Kevin Durant. The jersey he wore that night is now up for bid.
The home black jersey features yellow identifiers throughout. It reads “UTAH” across the chest in yellow tackle twill letters positioned above his yellow uniform number “23” that’s sewn on in perforated tackle twill. On the upper right chest is a yellow Nike “Jumpman” logo, while the upper left chest is sporting the Live View Technologies (LVT) logo, also in yellow. The Nike size “52” tag with an NBA AUTHENTICS logo is sewn on the bottom left front tail. The Nike tag has a “LENGTH 4” flag and an additional “EVERY PLAYER EVERY GAME (UTAW 05605)” tag is sewn to the left of the Nike tag. The back has “MARKKANEN” sewn in yellow tackle twill letters with the rubberized red, white and blue NBA logo above his name. His uniform number “23” again appears in yellow perforated tackle twill. Markkanen has signed the back of the jersey on the number “2” diagonally in black fine-point marker and added *#23” to his name.
