LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony Dual-Signed 2003-04 Cavs Home Opener Hoops Magazine Program (BAS) and Game Ticket (PSA) with Photo Matched to Signing!
LeBron James jumped from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, directly into the NBA when he became the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. James embraced his new opportunity with the Cleveland Cavaliers and quickly became a household name. Now, 21 years later, he’s the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. Presented here is a combination of several items commemorating his home debut on Nov. 5, 2003 for the Cavs at the Gund Arena (now called the Rocket Mortgage Field House) in Cleveland. Facing fellow NBA upstart Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets, LeBron did all he could that evening by recording seven points, seven assists, 11 boards, three blocked shots and two steals, but the Cavs dropped a 93-89 decision to the visiting Nuggets. Regardless, it remained a significant night for James as the hometown star shined in his NBA debut.
The lot includes an official Cleveland Cavaliers lanyard from that’s night game with all the proper markings, followed by a graded and encapsulated Hoops magazine program featuring James on the cover that’s been signed by both James and Anthony in black fine-point marker (both autos graded BGS 8); a graded, encapsulated (PSA EX-MT 6) FULL ticket from the evening; and a 2003-2004 HOME OPENER commemorative ticket to celebrate James’ arrival.
