This is a handsome Brooklyn Dodgers 1952 road flannel jersey worn by pitcher Clarence "Bud" Podbielan during the 1952 season, in the midst of his four-year tenure with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The heavy wool flannel is tagged “Rawlings” size “42” in the collar. The script "Dodgers" in attractive felt lettering is sewn on the front of the jersey. Podbielan’s name albeit misspelled “C Podbelian,” is chained stitched on the left tail with the year number “52” stitched below. While Podbielan wore #40 as a Dodger, the number on the back was changed from a "40" to its current "50" when he was sent to the minors. Shows moderate use with no evident tears or holes. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
