Catherine K. Breshkovsky — a major figure in the Russian Socialist movement — penned this letter written in New York and dated April 3, 1919, using a black fountain pen. Considered Russia’s first political prisoner, Breshkovsky spent over four decades in prison and in Siberian exile for peacefully opposing Tsarism. Out of pure grit she managed to survive her imprisonment, and near the end of her life she took several trips to the United States where she had gained many supporters. Very Good condition. The letter measures 8.5” x 11” and the envelope measures 9.5” x 4.25”. Guaranteed to pass James Spence Authentication (JSA) and comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
