President William McKinley, the 25th President of the United States and distinguished civil war veteran, has boldly signed this military appointment adorned with patriotic military symbols dated February 15, 1899 appointing a "Second Lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers," during the historic Spanish-American war. The document is countersigned by Secretary of War Russell Alger. 15.5 X 19.5. Very good condition.
