The bold signature and inscription of Benito Mussolini is strikingly penned on a large 13.5 X 10 matting of which 7.5 X 3 is visible in this matted display featuring a 5.5 X 9 picture of this Italian politician and journalist who founded and led the National Fascist Party. Accompanied by a handwritten letter dated Oct. 9, 1927 “To His Excellency, Signor Benito Mussolini,” requesting “…one minute of your busy time, to meet you and shake your hand, so that I can teach my sons when they grow up, the admiration of your great virtues…” The visitor from Maryland was apparently successful in achieving such a stunning dated inscription from their meeting in Rome. Display measures 10.5 x 15. Very good condition. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
