This extraordinary "thirties" inspired pink fuchsia pink silk dress designed by Victor Edelstein was worn by Princess Diana at The Mansion House for Help the Hospice. The dress is featured in the oversized limited edition hardcover auction book from the charity sale conducted by Christie's New York on June 25, 1997. Princess Diana, known for her tireless work on behalf of various charities, had helped to put this auction together just months before her tragic death on August 31, 1997. The sale featured only Diana's dresses and raised over five million dollars for her causes. The dress is softly draped in a cowl off-the-shoulder and the skirt has an inverted wrap-over front pleat. Victor Edelstein's label is attached inside the dress. Edelstein's dresses for Diana were featured throughout this historic auction as he was one of her favorite designers who really helped Diana to develop her look. The dress is in excellent condition and is accompanied by one of the rare limited-edition Christie's auction books from the sale (mentioned above) that Diana signed and inscribed "Diana, 246/250" in black felt tip pen on the title page. The book measures 12 x 17 x 1.
