Michael Jackson 1983 Owned Thriller Style Jacket.

Offered here is an incredible item, one of Michael Jackson’s personal red “Thriller” style jackets. The jacket is bright red with black trim, red lining, ribbed shoulders and collar, stud fasteners, belts to waist and sleeves. The jacket is similar to the jacket worn in the "Thriller" video. Label on the jacket reads “J Park Collection, Size 38”.

Provenance: Originally from the Frank DiLeo collection. Frank DiLeo was Michael Jackson’s manager from 1983-1989. This jacket was consigned to Sotheby’s in 1993 by a friend of Frank DiLeo’s.

J Park of Beverly Hills were the original manufacturers of the jacket used by Michael Jackson in the “Beat It” video and although the costume company of Berman’s and Nathan’s made the original jacket used in the Thriller video (which they made only 2), J Park made the original copies of the Michael Jackson Thriller jacket that were marketed to the public.

This jacket was not worn during the “Thriller” music video. The jacket is still an incredible item.

Note: The item was sold in Sotheby’s Rock N Roll Memorabilia Sale on July 29th, 1993 as lot number 280. A copy of the catalog is pictured here and the winning bidder will receive an actual catalog of this sale. The item also comes with the original receipt and FedEx labels from Sotheby's.

Authentication: Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
