This is Michael Jackson's white fedora that he wore on the set while shooting his "Smooth Criminal" video, it is believed to be the last fedora hat that he signed before he tragically passed away. Michael has signed and inscribed the hat on the brim in black felt tip pen, "Michael Jackson," with a star, and an arrow with two initials. The hat has a black grosgrain ribbon and the inner leather headband is stamped in gold "Michael Jackson." With USA manufacturers tag "size Large." Michael gave the fedora to his bodyguard Matthew Fiddes at the Palm Springs Hotel, Las Vegas in 2008, when he was recording an album. Fiddes worked for Michael over a period of 12 years and they were introduced by their mutual friend Uri Gellar. Michael told Fiddes that he used the hat on the set of his "Smooth Criminal" video and Fiddes believes this to be the last hat signed by Michael before his tragic death in 2009. An article from the Daily Mail regarding the hat can by copying the following into your browser: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2164874/The-hat-Michael-Jackson-famous-goes-hammer-expected-fetch-10-000.html. Also showing here are two photos of Fiddes and Jackson together. You can see this incredibly rare and autographed fedora hat, once owned by Jackson himself being worn by a Michael Jackson impersonator as part of a promotional event for "Ben: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute". This hat was used on the set of the "Smooth Criminal" video as has been well documented by Matthew Fiddes. However, the main hat that was worn in the music video "Smooth Criminal" is well documented and owned by the Michael Jackson estate. The hat we are offering here was used "on the set" of this spectacular ground breaking video. The hat is a monumental piece that was attached to the collection of Matt Fiddes for many years. Very good condition. The hat comes with a letter of provenance from Matthew Fiddes as well as a letter of provenance and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
