This lot features Michael Jordan's Game-Used & Signed Air Jordan 11's from March 7th, 1996. In this game against the Detroit Pistons Michael Jordan scored 53 points and secured the win for the Chicago Bulls. The shoes are from the historic 1995-1996 season. It was Jordan's first full season back from minor league baseball and he did not disappoint. He played all 82 regular season games, led the league in scoring (30.4ppg), won his 4th MVP, and lead the Bulls to a NBA record 72 win season. In the postseason, Jordan lead the Bulls to their fourth NBA title in six years and was named NBA Finals MVP for the fourth time.

The 1995-1996 season was an important year for Jordan. The year prior Jordan returned to professional basketball after 2 years away. In that shortened season, Jordan had success and helped the Bulls reach the Eastern Conference Finals, but they ultimately lost to the Orlando Magic. The following year (1995-1996) Jordan was hungry to prove that he was still the best basketball player on planet earth. He ended up leading the Bulls to a historic 72 win season, another NBA Championship, and won his 4th Finals MVP. The 1995-1996 season set the stage for his 2nd three-peat and his status as the GOAT, making these historic Air Jordan shoes a part of history. The 53 points he scored wearing these shoes is his 7th highest point total in a game.

The pair of size 13.5 Air Jordan Concord 11 sneakers are constructed of patent leather, ballistic mesh and leather, and the white/black/dark colorway is considered his most popular silhouette style in the Jordan sneaker world. The Jumpman logo and Jordan’s uniform number “23” are embroidered near both heels and Michael has signed the heel of both shoes beautifully in black marker. Both shoes still include their worn laces and have been presented to us as game-worn.

Authentication: Real Game Used (RGU) Game Used Letter of Authenticity, John Salley Letter of Authenticity, a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.

Note: This pair of game-worn shoes comes from the personal collection of former NBA player John Salley.
