Millard Fillmore Handwritten Signed Letter / Note.

In his undated signed note (4.5 X 2.5), Millard Fillmore writes that he “…should be most happy to make the personal acquaintance of Mrs. Bryant,” upon visiting Washington again.

Millard Fillmore was the 13th President of the United States (1850-1853) and the last to serve from the Whig Party. He was elected Vice President in 1848 and succeeded to the presidency in 1850 upon the death of President Zachary Taylor. Fillmore was instrumental in the passage of the Compromise of 1850 that temporarily defused tensions between slave and free states.

Dimensions: Displayed in a frame with a 7.5 in x 9.5 in picture to measure 15 in x 18 in.

Condition: Very Good.
