This is an original animation stand director’s proof 5" x 4" color transparency used in the making of “The Yellow Submarine,” the 1968 psychedelic animated feature film based on the music of the Beatles. This is a rare artifact from the making of this box-office bonanza produced by “King Features-Subafilms Ltd.” whose dated copyright appears on the transparency. This image portrays six bizarre creatures as the yellow submarine travels through the Sea of Monsters on the Beatles quest to restore peace in the unearthly paradise called Pepperland. Excellent condition. Estimate: $200 - $300.
