Paul McCartney Owned & Stage Worn Custom Made Vest - Photo-Matched to 12/10/1993 (RGU)
Offered here is an incredible vest that was worn by Paul McCartney throughout his 1993 tour and has been photo-matched to his iconic 12/10/1993 concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This vest is made of silk, and designed by Sue Timney and Edward Sexton. A Edward Sexton label is present.
Provenance: From the Collection of Paul McCartney’s translator. For the concerts in South America, Paul McCartney had a couple of translators. McCartney gifted this vest to his translator who is now consigning it to this auction!
In 1993, Paul McCartney and his band embarked upon “The New World Tour”, spanning almost the entire year and almost the entire globe. This tour featured a controversial pre-concert film, which was shown before all of the concerts and had graphic animal test footage in the film. This was Paul's last tour for nine years, after his wife and band member Linda McCartney was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995.
An incredible item, that would be any centerpiece to a collection.
