Paul McCartney Played & Beautifully Signed Kingston Bass.

Signed by Paul McCartney in a silver sharpie, adding the inscription, “All the Best”.

The guitar is in good condition, with a slight chip on the body. The autograph is stunning and one of the nicest autographs we have ever seen by McCartney.

The backstory behind this guitar is incredible, per the consignor, “I had the good fortune to meet Paul, his wife Linda and his kids in the dressing room. He smiled when he saw this bass. Ah, you know what I play, he said. Not exactly, I said. It’s the exact same body style, but by a different manufacturer. Wow, he said and sat down with it, tuned it and started to play. Linda started asking me polite questions about myself, I kept an eye on Paul. playing the bass, while talking to Linda. Paul kept playing different things on the bass and making pleasant comments. I really like it, he said, after about 30 minutes of playing it. It seemed like he was even interested in purchasing the guitar. I’m going to look into this brand when I get home, he said. I spent about 40 or 45 minutes in the dressing room with Paul and family. Paul and Linda could not have been nicer. They seemed genuinely interested in finding out about my life, asking me very personal questions. As I was leaving, I opened the door into the hallway and both Paul and Linda got up and gave me a big hug. It was an incredible experience”.

McCartney Bass guitars are considered “holy grail” items, but having a bass with this quality of a signature, played by McCartney himself no less, this guitar is the one of the best examples we have ever seen come up for public sale.
