A wonderful piece of rock history, from one legend to another, this is a holiday greeting card handwritten by Paul McCartney from his family to Johnny Cash. The card, measuring 8" x 5.5" unfolded has "Season's Greetings" printed in red, and Paul has written in black ballpoint pen, " & love, Paul, Linda, and the kids." Accompanied by the original envelope stamp-dated "13XII94" - December 13, 1994" where McCartney has handwritten in black ballpoint pen "& family" after the printed label names "Johnny & June Cash." The envelope measures 6.25" x 4.5". McCartney and Cash were good friends who also collaborated on the song "New Moon Over Jamaica," a track featured on Cash's 1988 release, "Waters from the Wells of Home.' Beautifully framed with a 7" x 5" color photograph of Cash and a 6" x 5" plaque describing the card. In excellent condition, the entire piece framed measures to approximately 25" x 21". Estimate: $500 - $700.
