Paul McCartney Signed Yesterday and Today Album - Controversial Butcher Cover.

This album cover for The Beatles' “Yesterday and Today” caused quite the upheaval upon its release in 1966. The cover shows the band in butcher coats surrounded by decapitated baby dolls & red meat. The cover was meant to be an anti-war statement against the Vietnam War. After the ensuing outrage, Capitol Records changed the cover to a more benign offering, and fans of the band highly covet this album. Paul McCartney placed a blue ink signature across the cover that displays hints of scuffing and wear along the edges and corners. Vinyl included.

Authentication: PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
