Highly desirable Paul McCartney and John Lennon dual-signed MacLen Music check dated June 14, 1976.

The check, drawn on the National Westminster Bank Limited of London, is made payable to Apple Corps Ltd in the amount of £80,000.

The check has been signed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney each in his capacity as a director of the company.

MacLen Music LTD, which was formerly controlled by Northern Songs, was formed to publish McCartney's and Lennon's songs in the United States. Because McCartney and Lennon had been involved in a number of earlier contractual disputes regarding control of their songs, especially regarding publishing rights and royalties, MacLen Music had been established with the stipulation that both artists would be required to sign off on nearly every check issued by the company.

Lennon-McCarthy dual-signed MacLen Music checks are extremely rare and understandably have always been highly prized by collectors. The fact that his particular example is made out to Apple Corps Ltd makes it all the more desirable.

Dimensions: 8 x 3.5 in.

Good condition.

Authentication: Roger Epperson (REAL) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
