A thank you letter sent on Eisenhower's personal White House stationery by the Presidnet to Assistant White House Physician, Colonel Walter R. Tkach, acknowledging the kindness of the White House staff on behalf of the President and First Lady for “…two pine trees for planting at the farm.”
Eisenhower served as the 34th President oif the United States (1953-1961). During World War II, Eisenhower served as the Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force in Europe earning the rank as U.S. Army five star General.
