Front man and lead singer of Queen, the iconic and beloved Freddie Mercury owned and stage worn custom black leather shorts. These short-shorts feature silver metal eyelets on each side of the shorts with leather lacing.These iconic Freddie Mercury owned and stage worn shorts comes from the collection of renowned booking agent and promotional agent Irwin Pate, During his very long career, Irwin and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. When traveling on concert tours Irwin often would obtain many of these articles from both tour crew members and venue staff, and some items he obtained directly from the celebrity. Among the vast number of entertainers that he came in contact with, worked with, and knew was Freddie Mercury. Irwin worked with Freddie on a few occasions and during one of their meetings Irwin told Freddie about the collection he and his wife Clarine had been collecting. Freddie then gifted Irwin some of his personal items including these shorts that he had worn on stage in performance.
Size: Custom made, there is no label inside the shorts indicating size, however we estimate them to be a size small. The length of the short-shorts is mere 11 inches!
