Rolling Stones Brian Jones Owned & Worn Handmade Colorfully Beaded Armbands from the Jones Family.
Original Rolling Stones co-founder Brian Jones owned and worn beautiful red, blue, and yellow beaded armbands. These two armbands came from the personal collection of the family of Brian Jones following his tragic death in 1969, at his home, Cotchford Farm in Hartfield, Sussex. It was sold, along with some of his other belongings to the author Geoffrey Giuliano, who was doing research for a book and screenplay on Brian Jones (the book later became "Paint it Black The Murder of Brian Jones: (1994 Virgin)) and a screenplay for the film "Stones the Wild Wicked World of Brian Jones" 2006. He was accompanied by Sir Richard Branson during his interviews with Brian Jones' close friends, family and associates at the time, and this interview where he obtained this piece was set up by Virgin Books.
Dimensions: Approximately 9.5 in length and 1.25 in width.
Condition: Very good vintage condition, these armbands used cloth ties to close them, three of those ties remain, the other one has been cut - these cloth ties can easily be replaced.
Authentication: Certificate of Authenticity from The Jones Collection signed by expert curator (Stones tour manager) Sam Cutler and CEO (and author) Geoffrey Giuliano.
