An original concert programme from The Beatles Christmas Show concerts that ran between 24th December 1963 and 11th January 1964 at the Astoria Theatre, Finsbury Park, London, England that has been autographed inside by The Beatles and many of the other artists on the bill in ballpoint pen. The cover of the programme features the image of The Beatles that was used on the group’s second album sleeve ‘With The Beatles’ that was released on 22nd November 1963 just over a month before the concerts started. The photograph was taken by Robert Freeman, it was captured at the Palace Court Hotel, Bournemouth, England on 22nd August 1963 whilst The Beatles were in the town to perform a series of concerts at the Gaumont Cinema.

The Beatles have signed the first inside page in black ballpoint pen on their respective images. John Lennon has added the written ‘love to Ada and Arthur from John Lennon (a band). Paul McCartney has added the words ‘All the best’ above his name. George Harrison has added the inscription ‘To Ada and Arthur all the best from’ above his name, George made a small mistake when he was writing the name ‘Arthur’ and has written ‘(sorry about that!) with an arrow pointing to it above his inscription. Ringo Starr has written ‘To Ada and Arthur My other Mum and Dad love and Best Wishes Ringo Starr xxx’. The images that The Beatles have signed of them recording in the studio were taken by Robert Freeman.

The other artists that have signed the programme are Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, three members of the Four most (missing Mike Millward), Cilla Black who has written ‘To Mike’s Lovely relations Ada & Arthur “that’s all” (I didn’t know it was me Mum & Dad) (silly) Cilla xxxxxxx Your Dear’, Tomy Quickly who has written ‘Best Wishes to Mikes Mum and Dad above his name and The Barron Knights.

It was signed for the parents of Mike Millward, rhythm guitarist in the Fourmost. The group was signed to Brian Epstein’s NEMS stable of artists.

The programme measures 21.25cm x 27.5cm (8.4 inches x 10.8 inches).

The programme has had a tear professionally repaired on the spin and two tape stains that have been repaired on the back cover. The condition is very good plus.

Authentication: This lot has been fully authenticated by Beatles handwriting expert Frank Caiazzo, and a full letter of authenticity is available to the winning bidder of this lot for a fee. Also comes with a Tracks UK Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
