The engraved plaque reads: "Presented To The Beatles To Commemorate The Sale Of More Than One Million Copies Of The Capitol Records Pop Single Record Lady Madonna". Certified gold by the RIAA on April 8th, just two weeks after release, "Lady Madonna" was the final single to be released on the Capitol Records yellow/orange swirl label, giving way to the "Granny Smith" label design of their own Apple Records that would be seen for the first time with the August ‘68 release of "Hey Jude". The engraving characteristics, disc and matte board date the production of this award to circa 1971+. The label is somewhat faded. Originally from the collection of producer/ promoter David Gest, the 13" x 17" frame exhibits a few nicks and blemishes. EX. Estimate $3,000-$4,000.
